Main conclusion
National records, the first real signs of a plateau, and a new variable: the information environment.
National records continued to fall in 2025. France reached 6,148 transplants (+1.5%), Italy performed 4,697 transplants (+1.2%) from 2,164 donors (+3.2%), Australia recorded 557 donors (+6%), Belgium reached 1,093 transplants (+1%), and the United States set a fifth consecutive annual record at 49,064 transplants (+1.9%).
But the same cycle showed the first real signs of a plateau. Spain dipped from its 2024 ceiling, the UK contracted, and Italian family-opposition rose to 40.1%. The countries closest to the system maximum are the ones now losing ground. DCD continues to carry whatever growth remains.
